MEET THE 2007-2008 Cross-check STAFF

Since your sons will be in our care on Wednesday nights, we felt it important to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves.

Andy Small	“Being an alumnus myself, I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to give back to the boys club what it has so tremendously blessed me with in my own upbringing. I was brought up in Fellowship Bible Church and besides my role as the boys ministry director, I also lead one of the church’s contemporary bands. If we haven’t already in past years met, I look forward to meeting you and serving your family through this ministry.”
Tim McCrossen	“Hello, my name is Tim. I’ve been a member of Fellowship Bible Church for a little over 5 years now. I live in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia and work for the Philadelphia Streets Department. I was recently asked to be a part of the Cross-Check staff and consider it to be an honor and a great opportunity to put into practice the Truth I have learned through God’s Word, the Bible. I’m looking forward to a fun and rewarding year with the boys as well as our staff.”
Bill Small	“My name is Bill. I’ve been an active member of Fellowship Bible church since 1976. I am a husband of 34 years and a father of 3, now fully grown, children. Up until a few years ago my role of the Fellowship Bible’s boy’s club was club director. Although I have stepped down from this position, I will still be helping out as part of the staff to ensure that the boys’ activities are as exciting as they have been in the past.”
Bobby Springer	“Hello my name is Robert Springer. I am a husband of 10 years and a father of 2 boys.  I have a 5-year-old son name Rocco & a 3 ½-year-old son name Nicholas. I am a member of Fellowship Bible Church and this is my second year being a Cross-Check leader. With having 2 children I know how important it is to add structure and Christianity to a child’s life.  I look forward to meeting you and your kids, and having a fun and safe year at Cross-Check.”
RICH SMITH	“My name is Richard Smith, and yes that is my real name and not an alias. I have been regularly attending Fellowship Bible church for about 2 years now. I am a 28 year old electrician, and operate an electrical repair and installation company here in Philadelphia called LightHouse Electrical. Since Christ has changed my life through salvation by faith, I have prayed about being involved in some activity to share the love Christ has freely given me. The Cross Check ministry is a perfect place for the Lord to exercise me in offering Christ-like counsel and friendship to our youth, the future leaders of our society.”
Jared Hiem	“Hi, my name is Jared. I’ve been at Fellowship Bible Church since I was born 30 years ago. My Father and Mother are charter members of the Church. I’ve been a leader in Cross-Check (AWANA) for 4 to 5 years. I’ve also been a Deacon in the church for 3 years. I have been married to Kelli (a leader in the GEMs program) for 5 years and we live in the local neighborhood. I look forward to serving the Lord with the other Godly men involved in Cross-Check. I also look forward to getting to know you and your family this year.”
Jason Davis	“Hi, my name is Jason, my friends call me Jed. I have been married for a little over a year to my beautiful wife, Rebecca. I feel that God has called me to use my gifts by joining the list of great men of God above to teach the youth of today about the saving grace of Jesus. I came to know the Lord at this pivotal age and nothing can be said about the impact that Christ can have on a young man. Growing up as a good Christian young person is one of the greatest challenges in today’s culture and I hope that those who come to Cross Check can be encouraged and strengthened for that journey.”
